John, we talk a lot about the sheer amount of families in need, in Gaza and around the world, and it can be difficult to imagine how just one donor can make a difference.

But thanks to supporters like you, the International Rescue Committee, alongside our partners, is providing life-saving medical care in Gaza's few remaining operational hospitals.

Dr. Ammar, a dedicated surgeon with the IRC's emergency medical team in Gaza, has seen firsthand the incredible impact of your support.

He shared a powerful story about an eight-month-old baby boy, who arrived with an influx of casualties due to bombardment and shelling of civilian houses.

The baby boy had a traumatic head injury and needed urgent surgery. Otherwise, he would die.

Dr. Ammar and his team tried their best to save the baby's life, with very limited resources and equipment.

After the surgery, Dr. Ammar shared with us, "Today, really really good news. He has woken up. He has been extubated. And actually he is recognizing his mother... This really made our day. Thank you." 💛
