Why You Should Care about the Electoral College |
by Ben Johnson |
At a time when Americans feel more divided than ever, influential members of the Democratic Party seek to undermine one of the Constitution's greatest provisions assuring national unity: They want to abolish the Electoral College. Although many see the institution as a throwback to premodern times, the Electoral College still accomplishes the Founding Fathers' will of seeing that people of all states have their interests represented in their government. The most recent attempt to undermine the Constitution came from Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. |

Top Dems Discuss Not Certifying a Trump Win in November |
by S.A. McCarthy |
After years of calling former President Donald Trump a "threat to Democracy" and bemoaning January 6 as the worst day in American history since September 11, a slate of top Democrats are now refusing to commit to certifying a Trump victory in November. According to an Axios report, several House Democrats have placed conditions on certifying a Trump win and have already said that they anticipate the former president using illicit or unethical means of achieving that win. |

Mavericks' Mark Cuban 'Okay' with China's Atrocities as Long as the NBA Gets 'Paid' |
by Suzanne Bowdey |
When LeBron James and his son, Bronny, take the court as the NBA's first father-son duo on opening night, Americans won't be the only ones watching history unfold. Seven thousand miles away, the "second center of the basketball universe" will be glued to their screens, the converts of an unlikely and controversial relationship between China and the league's opportunistic owners. And while the NBA congratulates itself for netting another 300 million fans, most of us can't help but lament the values these teams had to swallow in the process. |

State of the 2024 Election |
by Matt Carpenter |
Much has been made about what's at stake in the upcoming 2024 election, and rightfully so. The last three and a half years have seen wars emerge on almost every continent, a dramatically weakened dollar with persistently high inflation and declining standard of living, the deterioration of military readiness, a wide-open southern border, the politicization of our legal system, an unprecedented all-out assault on the unborn and those standing up for life, attacks on religious freedom, a disconcerting rise in political violence, and more. As a result, just 28% of Americans say the country is on the right track, and they are primed to make their voice heard. |

Young Girls Call Out Nike in Powerful XX Day Ad: 'Will You Stand Up for Me?' |
by Sarah Holliday |
Last year, former NCAA swimmer and women's sports advocate Riley Gaines called for October 10 to be deemed as "XX Day" or "Real Women's Day." The movement began as a direct push against the fact that biological men are being rewarded for thinking they're women. An example of this would be Rachel Levine, a man appointed by President Joe Biden to be U.S. assistant secretary for Health, who was classified by USA Today as their Women of the Year in 2022. As Gaines wrote in an article published on Fox News, "Whether it's men taking our awards or accessing our once single-sex spaces, it's clear women are being erased. Real women." |

Perkins Calls Christians to Pray over the Wave of Pro-Abortion Ballot Initiatives |
by Sarah Holliday |
The 2024 presidential election is less than a month away, and most would agree there's a lot at stake. Among the many pressing issues facing voters is that of abortion. Pro-lifers are sounding the alarm on the 10 states that will be voting on abortion-related ballot initiatives, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, and South Dakota. On Sunday night, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins was in one of those states, taking time to warn the people of Missouri about their state's dangerous Amendment 3 initiative and encouraging them and to get out and vote against it. |

Marooned President Hatches Mutiny against His Mate |
by Joshua Arnold |
A series of recent exchanges suggest that President Joe Biden is subtly undermining - or at least failing to support -Vice President Kamala Harris in her campaign to succeed him for a four-year term. This theme grew especially pronounced in dueling remarks - elicited by the media frothing up controversy - about the appropriate response to two devastating hurricanes, in which Harris was indisputably worsted. |

'Fake News': CBS Blasted for Deceptively Editing Kamala Harris's Answers in '60 Minutes' Interview |
by S.A. McCarthy |
Mainstream media outlets have been accused of running cover for Democratic politicians for years, but the latest instance of this trend may have been a step too far. Former President Donald Trump and numerous other conservatives are accusing CBS News of cutting and pasting Vice President Kamala Harris's answers to questions in her recent "60 Minutes" interview. On Monday, CBS News aired its interview with the Democratic presidential nominee, which even then was panned as "nonsense." Some even said that Harris "melted down" when CBS News personality Bill Whitaker asked her follow-up questions. |

Needs, Talents, Opportunities: Homeschooling Provides 'Ultimate Customization of Education' |
by Joshua Arnold |
"The continued growth of homeschooling" is due to "the inherent advantages and attractions of homeschooling that parents and students are finding," Home School Legal Defense Association executive director Joel Grewe declared on Wednesday's "Washington Watch." The number of homeschooled children is rising in all but two states with available data, according to a recent report from The Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy's Homeschool Research Lab. |

Open Season for Mockery against Christians |
by Joshua Arnold |
The Left has progressed from openly mocking Christians to openly mocking the Christian faith. On a recent episode of the "Michael Steele Podcast," former CNN host Don Lemon suggested that Jesus's earthly father Joseph used his marriage to the virgin Mary as a perfect cover for being gay. Steele, who chaired the Republican National Committee from 2009 to 2011, chortled right along with Lemon, as the alleged sexual deviancy of Joseph was the funniest thing he had ever heard. |

The Biblical Case for Why Christians Need to Engage |
by Sarah Holliday |
At Bible college, I learned about the Three Cappadocians from the region of Cappadocia: Basil the Great, Gregory of Nyssa, and Gregory of Nazianzus. All three were marked by two distinctions: their deep love for God and their deep desire to live lives of solitude. These Cappadocians, enthusiastic about God and studying His word, felt solitude was the beginning of the purification of the soul. Each believed engaging with pagan culture was nothing but a distraction from their devotion to Christ. And so, they all sought a more solitary life. However, these three figures now serve as examples of how dire circumstances often thrust us directly into the world we're trying to flee from. |
