The latest scandal surrounding Mayor Adams has left our city frustrated, angry, and disappointed. And now, as if that wasn’t enough, there’s talk of Andrew Cuomo trying to stage a political comeback.
As Politico, New York Magazine, and even the New York Times have said, this idea is not wildly popular.
But Cuomo, the same man who was forced to resign after being accused of sexual harassment by 11 women, is working the phones, trying to convince donors and Democratic leaders to back him in a special election if Adams resigns.
Let me be clear: New York City does not need another scandal-ridden politician who puts his own ambitions above the needs of the people. We need real leadership — leadership that is honest, ethical, and genuinely committed to making our city a better place for working families.
I’m not afraid of Andrew Cuomo. I’m ready to take him on and anyone else who thinks we should settle for more of the same. Our city deserves a mayor who truly represents you — someone who understands the daily struggles of New Yorkers and who has a proven record of standing up for working people, families, and communities.
