Hi,

Profit-driven private equity firms are trying to buy up hospitals, mental
health centers, and nursing homes across America.

When private equity takes over health care facilities, it maximizes
profits while putting patients, workers, and the sustainability of the
facility at risk. Health care should be about health, not corporate
profits.

That’s why Senator Ed Markey and Rep. Pramila Jayapal introduced the
Health Over Wealth Act.^1

[ [link removed] ]Sign the petition: Tell Congress to pass the Health Over Wealth Act to
protect patients from private equity vultures.

ADD YOUR NAME

The Health Over Wealth Act puts safeguards in place to protect workers,
patients, and health care quality, access, and safety. It also creates
stronger accountability measures for corporate greed in the health care
industry.^2

When introducing the bill, Rep. Jayapal said, “Private equity firms buying
up health care systems is simply bad news for patients, leading to worse
health outcomes and higher bills. We have a duty to protect patients from
greedy corporations that are prioritizing their bottom line over patient
care.”^3

Congress must take action against private equity firms now.
