Our climate is in crisis, John. 🚨

We're stuck with leadership that would rather serve corporate interests
than address the existential threat our environment faces. We NEED new
blood in the game – young people who will act on our concerns in the
places of power where it matters most.

The facts are stark:

🚨2024 is on track to be the hottest year in recorded history.

🚨This summer broke global heat records for the second consecutive year.

🚨We've experienced 12 straight months of global temperatures above
pre-industrial levels – a critical threshold for climate change.

Just this month, when we should have had a typical transition from the
summer to fall, we instead faced incessant and dangerous heat waves that
broke 85 years+ records across the West coast.

🌡️ San Francisco hit 97°F (broke its previous record, set in 1992)

🌡️ San Jose scorched at 103°F (the hottest week ever recorded in the city's
history)

🌡️ Santa Rosa matched its 1930 record at a blistering 102°F

🌡️ San Rafael topped the charts at a staggering 107°F (12°F higher than its
previous record)

While these numbers are alarming, what's even more concerning is the lack
of meaningful action from our current leaders. We can't afford to wait any
longer.

That is why Leaders We Deserve is committed to electing young leaders who:
