That means the GOP could choose to rewrite their maps at any given moment. Democrats must win the legislature to end the possibility of a mid-cycle GOP gerrymandering attempt. Right now, Republicans hold both the Senate and the House in New Hampshire — but they have to defend tiny majorities. The House is considered a toss-up, the Senate is within reach, and both chambers have flipped several times in recent years.
