Jack,
The Secretary of Agriculture only has a limited window left to address
longstanding discrimination at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). One
critical step he can take is to implement recommendations from equity experts
to create an Office of Small Farms.
Thank Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack for his past efforts to support racial
equity and climate action and ask him to use his last 90 days in office to
right past wrongs and serve small and midsize farms.

Smaller farms are more likely to be owned by under-represented farmers
engaging in climate-friendly practices. Secretary Vilsack must demonstrate
unequivocally that the USDA will make sure that smaller-scale farms can access
the support they need to survive and thrive.
Urge Secretary Vilsack to create an Office of Small Farms to serve the people
who feed us and protect our environment.
