Today marks one year since the 2023 election where National won 38% of the Party Vote, and an historic election swing.

We got 49 fabulous MPs elected, formed a National-led Government and got to work getting New Zealand back on track. We haven’t stopped.

The good news is we’re starting to see positive results with the OCR now down to 4.75% - a sign that National’s economic plan is putting downward pressure on interest rates. This means lower mortgage payments and welcome relief for families. For businesses, it’s a green light to invest, expand or hire more staff.

On top of that, we’ve announced fast-tracked consenting for 29 vital road, rail, and port projects across the country. These are the kinds of initiatives that boost growth, create jobs, and deliver the infrastructure New Zealanders need faster.

Better days are ahead, but this is only happening because National won the election on 14 October 2023.

The Party is now at a critical moment again, as it begins to prepare for the strong campaign that will be required to ensure Christopher Luxon and his team can keep our country heading in the right direction.
