Dear John,
Now that the Campaign Finance Board (CFB) filing deadline has passed, this is just a quick note to say: Thank You, John!
The big news: We’ve raised a total of $4.5 million for our mayoral campaign, including expected matching funds from the City’s public funds program.
Thanks to you, we out-raised all of the other mayoral challengers this filing period – more contributions, more NYC donors, more matching funds, more total raised – and we’re well out in front in overall fundraising-to-date.
The numbers really speak to the viability and strength of our campaign for Mayor:
- Raised a total of $4.5 million this cycle, which includes approximately $1 million in direct contributions, generating $3.5 million in matching funds
- Received contributions from a total of 4,122 donors, 94% of whom are New York City residents
- Received contributions from over 2,300 individuals in this filing alone, well over half of whom (1,330) contributed for the first time after we launched our campaign in July
And one more thing: We were only able to get here with help from New Yorkers like you, John. I don’t accept contributions from corporate PACs, corporate lobbyists, fossil fuel executives, real estate development principals, or private equity and investment fund managers.
I am deeply grateful that you chose to support our campaign. And I am incredibly proud of what we’re building together. These numbers mean a lot to me, especially because I know there are many urgent fundraising causes right now.
So thanks for opening these emails and staying in touch. And thank you for reading them. It shows that you care about the city we all share.
With hope for a better New York for all of us,
Brad
