Yet leaders like Greg Abbott, Donald Trump, and J.D. Vance take pride in mainstreaming this violent, racist, rhetoric – despite knowing the deadly consequences. We’ve seen it recently in Springfield, Ohio, and we saw it before when 23 innocent lives were taken at an El Paso Walmart – targeted because of the color of their skin.

The bottom line is that this rhetoric is putting lives in danger and it has to stop. Any further escalations could turn lethal for asylum-seekers, Border Patrol agents, and innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
