Like many people who care about the impact elections have on their lives, I am sure your inbox is filled with last-minute requests before the final FEC fundraising deadline of this campaign.

I am invading your inbox as well, apologetically, asking for your help today.

Would you be able to make a contribution to my Senate campaign before our FEC fundraising deadline ends in just a few days? If you have been thinking about donating to our campaign, now would be the perfect time — especially with my debate tomorrow, as well.

I’d really love it if I could earn your support today. Because in just a few days, the public reporting period is over. We need as much momentum as possible because this is the last deadline and this public fundraising report will be looked through with a fine-tooth comb to see how we stack up.

The polls are showing that this Senate race in Michigan is a dead heat with a lot of voters still undecided. That’s who we need to get to. If we fall short of our goal before our FEC deadline ends, it puts us at risk of not being able to reach those voters — especially in places outside of my current congressional district.

I still need to introduce myself to a lot of undecided people in Michigan, and that introduction could be the difference between winning or losing in November.
