Here’s the latest Campus Mobilization Bulletin on our critical work in Arizona.

To say events are moving at warp speed is an understatement. Just this week early voting began, absentee ballots were mailed out and a fiery debate between U.S. Senate candidates Ruben Gallego and Trump-embraced, election denier Kari Lake all took place this week.

With less than 4 weeks to go before the Election Day our Vote 4 Equality Mobilization is poised to make all the winning difference in this critical battleground state.

Arizona isn’t just about the fight for the White House . It’s ground zero for securing a pivotal U.S. Senate seat, winning two razor-thin House races , and, most crucially, victory on a statewide ballot measure that would enshrine the right to abortion in the Arizona Constitution .

The stakes couldn’t be higher, and right now, we are in the thick of the fight. We’re counting on you [[link removed]] to help us push through to victory.

SEIZING A HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY

Our Vote4Equality campaign has mobilized on campuses across Arizona, taking full advantage of the largest gender gap in U.S. history.

According to the latest Harvard Youth Poll, Kamala Harris holds a commanding 70% to 23% lead over Donald Trump among likely women voters under 30, while a majority (53%) of young men are now also moving strongly in favor of Harris. This Gender Gap, which has nearly doubled from earlier polls , reflects the strong support Harris has garnered on issues young women care about most—reproductive rights, healthcare, climate change, and gun violence prevention.

PLUS... The Enthusiasm Gap between young Democratic and Republican voters is also significant. With 74% of young Democrats reporting that they will "definitely" vote, compared to only 60% of young Republicans, Kamala Harris benefits from the higher engagement of younger voters, particularly young women.

THIS IS THE LARGEST GENDER GAP IN HISTORY!

This is unprecedented, and it’s our golden opportunity to turn Arizona blue, win the White House, maintain Democratic control of the U.S. Senate, win back a Democratic majority in the House through 2 key congressional races, and secure reproductive rights in Arizona’s Constitution.

Here’s what’s happening on the ground:

• We’re organized at three major universities—the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University—and four community colleges—Pima, Cochise, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley—where over 175,000 women students are poised to vote. These students are the key to unlocking a historic victory, and our organizers are working tirelessly to mobilize them.

• Narrow margins have decided outcomes in key Arizona races in the past:

o Joe Biden won by just 10,457 votes in 2020.
o The 2018 Senate race was decided by a mere 55,000 votes out of three million cast.
o Two congressional districts that are now crucial to regaining control of the House were decided by fewer than 3,000 votes each.

Our Campus Organizers are laser-focused on mobilizing women students to take full advantage of the gender gap, turning their excitement and drive for equality into votes that will make the difference in 2024.

But we are racing against the clock.

Great news. The number of volunteers for the Arizona effort is skyrocketing. This means we must immediately raise more funds so we can continue providing our organizers with the materials, resources, and support they need to get out the vote. Our goal is to reach every one of those 175,000 women students, but we cannot do it without your support. Here’s how you can help: [[link removed]]

• A $10 donation will allow us to reach and motivate 250 students.
• A $20 donation will help us reach 500 students.
• A $50 donation will reach 1,250 students.
• A $100 donation will ensure we can reach 2,500 students—enough to tip the scales in this make-or-break election.

Not only Arizona’s but our national future hangs in the balance. Not only can you and I help elect leaders who will defend reproductive rights and gender equality, but this election will determine control of the U.S. Senate and the House of Representative—an essential requirement for Kamala Harris to advance our rights from the White House. And an essential guard against the rogue Supreme Court .

Without a Democratic majority, the agenda for equality and justice will be held hostage by MAGA Republicans, aided by a rogue Supreme Court determined to roll back our rights.

This is about more than just Arizona.

If we succeed in Arizona, we can ensure abortion rights are protected in one more state constitution, shift the balance of power in Congress, and lay the groundwork for future victories across the country. But if we fall short, we risk watching decades of progress unravel.

Now is the time to act.

We need your help [[link removed]] to ensure every single one of those 175,000 women students in Arizona has the tools, the motivation, and the power to vote for equality. Our teams are working around the clock, but without the resources to support them, we will fall short of our potential.

We know how to win.

We proved it in the 2018 midterms, in the historic turnout of 2020, and in our recent victories in 2022 and 2023. Now, we have the momentum and the largest gender gap in history on our side. But enthusiasm and energy aren’t enough . We need your financial support to turn out the vote and secure a win in Arizona.

Please, don’t wait another minute. Donate today [[link removed]] to be part of this historic effort. We have the opportunity to make history—let’s not miss it.

For Victory and Equality,

Eleanor Smeal and the Vote4Equality Team

P.S. Even though you don’t live in Arizona, the outcome of elections there will affect us all. The fight for reproductive rights, gender equality, and personal freedoms is at stake. Your action today [[link removed]] could make all the difference. Let’s make sure we’re on the right side of history.
