Close polls and the fact that Democrats are getting out-spent in several battleground states force us to reckon with a very uncomfortable potential outcome:

If we don't have the resources to combat these attacks and turn out our voters, Donald Trump could be president next year, and with a Republican House and Senate, there would be virtually no check on his power.

We’re sorry to put that thought into your head, but that is the reality.

The good news is, that we are not without power in making sure that outcome never comes to pass. Elections are not something to sit back and witness -- they are something we can shape.

But that requires participation. For some, it will be volunteering. For others, posting on social media. But probably the most important thing you can do today is donate.

Donate to the Democratic Party today:

If you contribute to the DNC today, we'll put that donation right to work reaching the voters we need to win nationwide up and down the ballot this November. But we cannot do that without people who care about the outcome and contribute what they can.
