The CARES Act is a multi-trillion dollar relief package that Matt helped pass to bring much-needed relief during the COVID-19 crisis. Much of this money will be distributed to states and small businesses, but the oversight that was included in the bill has been systematically dismantled.

As taxpayers, this is our money and YOUR money, John. And not having appropriate oversight means this money (our money) is at HUGE risk of being used for fraudulent or incorrect purposes.

That’s why we’re calling on the Trump administration to make oversight for CARES funding their top priority. But we’ll need your support to make our voices heard. Will you add your name and amplify our demand?

Proper oversight is key to making sure trillions of dollars of taxpayer money are used appropriately. It’s also critical to making sure that the people who need this relief the most actually get it.
