John,
This week is National Nurses Appreciation Week, and it is a week that has never been more important. Our nurses have been on the frontlines of this pandemic, showing up for work every day -- and never wavering in their commitment to providing quality healthcare to those who need it.
We owe our sincere thanks to these nurses who have not only given care, but have also been a source of comfort for their patients who were separated from their families and loved ones during these difficult times.
They're working long hours, dealing with equipment shortages, and putting their own health at risk while bearing the emotional burden of COVID-19. We know it hasn't been easy for anyone, but we must remember the healthcare providers who are seeing the effects of this pandemic firsthand.
The best thing we can do for our nurses is to continue to show them our support -- by continuing to do our part to prevent any further spread of this virus.
Kansas' nurses are crucial to our state's survival right now. It's not much, but we wanted to show our thanks to all of the nurses across the state. Add your name to our thank you card today.
