Yet, despite our strength, only 14% of young Latinos participated in elections in 2022 — the lowest turnout of any youth racial group. We have the opportunity to change this narrative. This mission is deeply personal for me. When my mom passed away earlier this year, my family was fortunate to have access to healthcare without significant financial burden. As we navigated the hardest moments of our lives, knowing that her care was never compromised due to cost gave us a sense of comfort and peace.
