Hi John -- did you catch Sheriff Penzone’s public service announcement on water safety?
As we adjust to Arizona’s new normal, most of us are spending more time at home. And with children out of school and the weather getting warmer, that means a heightened risk for pool and water-related tragedies. That’s why Sheriff Paul Penzone joined Arizona’s Family and the Chris-Town YMCA to promote water safety and prevent accidental drownings. Drowning can be fast and silent -- it may only take 20 seconds for tragedy to occur. But by taking precautions and staying vigilant, we can help look out for our children. Ensure that pool fences, locks, and alarms are working properly. Designate a water-watcher and make sure no swimmers are left unattended. And overall, commit to swimming safe this summer. Sheriff Penzone understands that these uncertain times bring new challenges for everyone. He will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of everyone in our community.
Thank you, -- Team Penzone
