Discussing the challenges of running in a swing district while sharing the ballot with Donald Trump, John Katko told The New York Times:

“It does make it difficult at times,” Representative John Katko, Republican of New York, said in an interview. He said he hoped his constituents would evaluate him not based on Mr. Trump’s record, but on his own.

He went on to say that voters “are going to judge me on what I did or did not do, and that’s all I can ask.” So let's look at some of John Katko's record when it comes to Trump:

-He voted for the 2017 GOP tax scam that cut taxes for big corporations and the ultra-wealthy at the expense of working families -- and opened the door for the Trump administration's current lawsuit to kill Obamacare.
-He failed to hold Trump accountable for violating his oath of office and encouraging a foreign power to interfere in our democratic process.
-He kicked off 2020 by breaking his 2016 promise to never vote for Trump -- and gave Trump his full endorsement.
-After Trump gave a divisive State of the Union address that demonized immigrants, called for restricting a woman's right to choose, and awarded the Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, John Katko praised the speech and called it a "closing argument" to the American people.

John Katko supports Trump and enables his agenda time and again. He's right that voters are going to judge him on his record -- but we need to make sure his record is fully exposed.

GOP groups are already spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to boost John Katko and whitewash his record. Please help Dana fight back by chipping in today. We need to raise $5,000 more by next week to keep getting our message out online.
