Folks, before I ask you to pitch in to my re-election campaign, I want to share something.
My parents — a union lineman and an automobile tire factory worker — always taught me that if you work hard, you should have the opportunity to succeed.
The values I learned growing up are reflected in my work to build a brighter future for New Mexico and our country. A future where everyone has access to quality healthcare, good-paying jobs, and affordable housing.
But National Republicans are doing everything they can to stop that vision in its tracks. Mitch McConnell's allies hand-picked my multimillionaire, former hedge fund executive opponent to flip the Senate and carry out an extreme agenda. An agenda that could lead to a future where we see a national abortion ban, more tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and corporations, and our public lands sold to the highest bidder.
Right now, my opponent is flooding New Mexico with ads attacking and misrepresenting my record. We need to counter these attacks so we can win in November and keep fighting for progress, but we can't do it without your help.
That's why it's so important we hit our final mid-month fundraising goal before Election Day to ensure we have the resources to reach voters across New Mexico:
Can you help us keep New Mexico and the Senate majority blue by pitching in $10 now? [[link removed]]
