"This abortion bill is probably unconstitutional. A Republican lawmaker says that's the point."
Washington Post (8/12/19)

Tennessee is making national news for all the wrong reasons all over again.

The gerrymandered supermajority in our state legislature is still trying to take away women's constitutional rights.

Tell them to stop the attacks on women's reproductive freedom. Add your name.

We've been down this road already this year. One of my opponents even recorded an ad to support the same type of heartbeat bill passed in Alabama. While that bill was defeated, those same folks are back again with one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.

This is dangerous and wrong, John.

These attacks on women's healthcare and rights will put lives at risk and restrict a decision that no politician should have anything to do with.

The legal challenges to this knowingly unconstitutional bill are going to waste taxpayer dollars that could be better spent promoting policies that benefit Tennessee women and families, like access to healthcare and keeping our communities safe from gun violence.

We need to stand with Tennessee women and help protect their rights. Join me and add your name today.

Thank you,
