We’ve got some great news.

Our Essential Workers Bill of Rights legislation is picking up some major momentum in Congress. A number of progressive leaders have officially co-sponsored the legislation, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez!

But we still need a critical mass of popular support to get this critical legislation passed. Will you sign your name to help protect essential workers right now?

Our demands are simple: This administration should treat our essential workers as exactly that — essential. They deserve the protections and benefits they have earned as the backbone of our economy during this crisis.

Here’s a rundown of exactly what we’re calling for:

  1. Health and safety protections including PPE.
  2. Robust premium compensation retroactive to the beginning of this crisis.
  3. Provide protections for collective bargaining agreements.
  4. Institute truly universal paid sick leave and family and medical leave.
  5. Protect whistleblowers who call attention to unsafe conditions.
  6. End to worker misclassification.
  7. Full health insurance for all frontline workers.
  8. Support child care.
  9. Give workers a seat at the table when coordinating government response.
  10. Hold corporations accountable for meeting their responsibilities.

Essential workers should have had these things from day one. This administration failed them. Now, it’s up to us to make it up to them by passing the Essential Workers Bill of Rights.

Thanks for your help,
