Find out what Congressman Ken Calvert is working on for Riverside County and the people of the 41st Congressional District

I joined my Bipartisan Fentanyl Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Darrell Issa and Chief Assistant to the Riverside County District Attorney John Aki at a Law Enforcement Roundtable this week to discuss fentanyl, retail theft and other public safety issues impacting our region. I have helped expand federal funding for the National Guards’ counter drug program and continue to work with our local law enforcement officials to keep our communities safe.

I was honored to join the Calimesa City Council earlier this week to celebrate our success securing federal funding for three important local projects:

• $4 million for the County Line Road Project
• $2 million for the I-10 & Cherry Valley Interchange Project
• $1 million for an Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  

These projects will invest in important solutions for this growing region of Riverside County.

I joined our local leaders and stakeholders at the Hidden Valley Wildlife Center to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP). This continues to be a bipartisan effort to shape a balanced future for our county. I’ve worked collaboratively since its inception to supports its goals of conserving habitat, preserving open space and developing transportation for our region.

I had the pleasure of providing a legislative update at the Greater Coachella Chamber of Commerce legislative breakfast. As a former small business owner, I know our local job creators face a number of challenges and opportunities every day. I continue to work hard in Congress to back policies that allow them to grow and thrive. 

My office is holding a Senior Resource Fair for Riverside County seniors next Tuesday, October 15th, in Menifee. A number of organizations will be present to share information about the services they provide. All are welcome!
