Donald Trump is the oldest presidential candidate ever nominated by a major political party, and he’s showing increasingly severe signs of dementia.
Trump constantly mixes people up, like confusing Joe Biden for Barack Obama or Nikki Haley for Nancy Pelosi. His speeches are rambling diatribes of word salad. He used his convention speech to praise Hannibal Lecter, a fictional mass murderer.

Now, I’m not a young man myself, but I’m a little younger than Trump — and hopefully doing better in the noggin. Trump has a family history of dementia, and every day we see more signs that he may be succumbing to it himself.
Before picking him as his running mate, Trump referred to JD Vance as “JD Mandel.” He rambles about nonsense, like windmills killing whales and whether it’s better to be electrocuted or eaten by a shark. During recent legal proceedings, he was unable to distinguish between E. Jean Carroll, the woman a jury concluded he raped, and his ex-wife, Marla Maples.
And Trump still insists that the 2020 election was stolen, even though his own lawyers, Justice Department, and attorney general say his claims of fraud are “bullsh*t.”
Which makes you wonder: Is he lying, or has he simply lost touch with reality?
