I’ve shared with you many times that our campaign has been forced to cancel most of our future fundraising events. This is simply the reality of the stay-at-home orders.

Several weeks ago, Bettina and I put together a number of different budget scenarios, including a worst-case scenario given the economic downturn.

Here is the truth: Our second quarter is going to suffer because of this crisis and the economic downturn, but the campaign is going to be alright and we’re in better shape than I would have imagined even four weeks ago.

Millions of Americans are suffering. The leadership we choose in November will play an enormous role in our country’s economic recovery.

November’s election will shape the future of our country for decades to come.
