Communities in Florida are reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Milton. Homes have been destroyed, families displaced and millions are without power. As the crisis unfolds, Americares emergency response teams are on the ground, offering support to our 110 local partners to provide lifesaving aid to survivors.
Our teams are also addressing the ongoing needs from Hurricane Helene in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Tragically, hundreds of people are confirmed dead from these two back-to-back hurricanes – and the death toll continues to rise. It’s a heartbreaking situation, and there is so much urgent work that still needs to be done – which is why we’re reaching out.
