As a card-carrying Drug Policy Alliance member, your voice has power. When the DEA proposed downgrading marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act, our movement submitted more than 10,000 comments during the White House’s public comment period on this issue.
That means about 1 out of 4 comments came from DPA’s members and our allies. Together, we made it clear that Schedule III is not enough. Schedule III keeps marijuana federally illegal and doesn’t expunge past records or do anything to undo the decades of harm prohibition has caused. It’s time for full legalization — and we showed that the public is with us.
We know something about making ourselves heard. And with a major election just weeks away, we’re using our voice to push back against the drug war lies coming from campaigns around the country.
And right now, I’m asking you to use your voice to help select our 2025 Member Card design. It’s such an important symbol for this movement and our fight for change.
