Despite a global pandemic, President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are committed to packing the court with conservative judges instead of focusing on the crisis affecting every American right now.

"My motto for the year is 'leave no vacancy behind.' That hasn't changed. The pandemic will not prevent us from achieving that goal."

That was what Mitch McConnell said last month during an interview with a conservative radio host -- and that's still his singular focus today. Once again, he's putting his own political interests over the dire needs of the American people.

We need to be focused on pandemic response and support -- NOT packing the courts with conservative judges. I've said time and time again that this pandemic doesn't care about liberals or conservatives, and neither can we. Mitch McConnell clearly doesn't agree. I need you to join me right now: Add your name to tell Mitch McConnell to prioritize the pandemic and NOT politics.

As of this week, Mitch McConnell has helped confirm 51 circuit court judges and 139 district court judges under Donald Trump's watchful eye. By comparison, during President Barack Obama's two terms in office, the Senate confirmed 55 circuit court judges total.

That's 190 lifetime appointments to the bench in federal courts across the country. That's 190 people who will impact our choice, our climate, our economy, and our communities for a generation.

So, it turns out, Senator Lindsey Graham was right when he said: "These Conservative Judicial appointments will impact our nation for years to come."
