Happy National Coming Out Day! Today we stand together to celebrate the dazzling diversity of our LGBTQIA+ community and demand a world where we are free to be our authentic selves.



From its inception, the Green Party of the United States has embedded LGBTQIA+ rights in our platform, recognizing the urgency of addressing the profound challenges faced by these communities. We understand that authenticity and conviction are integral to the LGBTQIA+ experience—qualities that resonate with our party's commitment to genuine, principled advocacy.

Our party, and the National Lavender Green Caucus <[link removed]>, have fought back against voices that seek to invalidate, intimidate, and exclude us. It's no wonder that many in the LGBTQIA+ community are turning away from the tokenizing politics of the parties of war and Wall Street and finding a home in the Green Party. We're tired of a politics that only cares about our votes and our dollars every four years. We're done with rainbow washing corporate donors that pull the strings of politicians in power.
