On September 4th, 2008 I was seriously injured in the line of duty while
serving in Afghanistan.
My body was permanently scarred & my face was burned so badly that I hardly
recognized myself anymore.

But, on that day I was only injured – not killed.

I burned alive for nearly a minute – but on that day my life truly began anew.
You see, the Lord had a plan for me… A plan I didn’t understand until I came
face to face with death itself.
Over my years of recovery, pain, and struggle, the Lord made his plan for me
abundantly clear.
I am here to serve my family, my country, and my Lord above all else.
So now, here I am addressing you directly with a humble request for support as
I run to serve YOU in the United States Senate.
