This week marked House Democrats' Child Care Week of Action, and I spent it at Our House, Inc. with Congresswoman Katherine Clark, where I read The Magical Yet and presented a special letter to CEO Tyese Lawyer in recognition of Our House receiving $20 million in Head Start funding over the next five years. Trump’s Project 2025 threatens to eliminate the Head Start program, which would devastate 3,100 low-income children in the Fighting Fifth by cutting access to no-cost childcare and essential services. This would raise costs for struggling families, worsen the childcare slot shortage, and hurt our economic growth. We must protect Head Start and ensure families have access to affordable childcare.
