Trump credits Katie Britt for shaping his stance on IVF access after Alabama
ruling

<[link removed]>

President Trump emphasized that it was U.S. Senator Katie Britt that drove him
to vocally and strongly support IVF access earlier this year and consistently
on the campaign trail since then.

In a podcast interview released this week, Trump praised Britt as “really a
young, good politician, smart,” while highlighting her “great husband” Wesley.

Trump recounted that Senator Britt called him shortly after the Alabama
Supreme Court decision came out in February. “I said, ‘Explain it, tell me,’
and she told me.”

“After about 5 minutes, I’m a quick study, I said, ‘That’s a great thing.’

Tuberville, Britt challenge Biden admin’s federal highway emissions rule

<[link removed]>

U.S. Sens. Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt signed on to an amicus brief
requesting an appeals court uphold a U.S. District Court decision ruling the
Biden-Harris administration’s highway emissions final rule is illegal.

The rule would impose “one-size-fits-all” requirements on how state
departments of transportation and cities report and measure greenhouse gas
(GHG) emissions on the highway system, according to the senators. The rule
requires cities and state departments of transportation to set declining
targets for GHG emissions. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) appealed
the decision, and it remains under further consideration.

“Congress considered, and ultimately rejected, providing [FHWA] with the
authority to issue a GHG performance measure regulation, but [FHWA] contorted
ancillary existing authorities to impose one anyway,” the senators said in the
brief. “In doing so, [FHWA] impermissibly usurped the Legislative Branch’s
authority and promulgated the GHG performance measure without statutory
authority delegated by Congress.”

Senator Katie Britt Condemns Hamas, Reaffirms Support for Israel and Hostage
Release Efforts

<[link removed]>

U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) this week strongly condemned Hamas’
continued war against Israel and the ongoing captivity of hostages, including
several Americans. In a statement, Senator Britt emphasized her unwavering
commitment to Israel’s security and the return of every hostage held by Hamas.

Alongside Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and fellow Senate Republicans, Senator
Britt introduced a resolution reaffirming support for Israel’s survival and
calling for the immediate release of all hostages. The resolution denounces
antisemitic violence and condemns the use of sexual violence by Iran-backed
Hamas in the ongoing conflict. The senators also reiterated Israel’s right to
self-defense and called for actions to prevent Hamas from reconstituting its
forces in the region, ensuring such events are not repeated.

“One year after Hamas’ barbaric attack on Israel, we stand resolute in our
unwavering support for the Jewish state and her right to defend herself. Today,
we remember and honor the memory of the victims of that horrific day and renew
our vow of ‘Never Again,’” said Senator Britt. “America must stand shoulder to
shoulder with Israel – our great ally, friend, and partner – as she works to
bring every single hostage home and permanently neutralize the threat of Hamas.”
