A NOTE FROM CHRISSY
Even though we’re only weeks away from another most-important-election-of-our-lifetime, I’m still busy serving as our community’s representative in Congress. In between house parties (thank you!), Zoom calls for Harris-Walz (please give!), and door knocking (please vote!), I am working for you. Here’s a quick update on what my team and I have been up to.

MY 90TH and 91ST TOWN HALLS
In late September, I hosted my 90th town hall! This included an update on my work in Washington and Pennsylvania on behalf of our community before we turned to a discussion on nonpartisan voting resources. Please vote, everyone! If you have any questions about voting at all, please click here. My 91st town hall was last week and focused on Medicare resources. Every day my office gets at least one call from a constituent trying to sort out their benefits. We are here to help.

FIRST PUBLIC HEARING OF THE TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT TASK FORCE
Last month, I participated in the first hearing for the Trump Assassination Attempt Task Force. I used this time to talk to witnesses and identify the operational challenges and enormous gaps in communication at the two Secret Service command posts in Butler, and to ensure that something like this can never happen again. I'm happy to report that we're beginning to get the answers we need and that you deserve.

MY LETTER TO POSTMASTER DEJOY
Since a fire caused the closure of the Airport Road Post Office in West Chester, I’ve heard from many in our community about how this is negatively impacting them. Because customers are being routed to other facilities, the wait times at the Gay Street post office are reaching 90 minutes. With ballots already in the mail, slower processing time and reduced resources are a serious concern. In response, I sent a letter to U.S. Postmaster DeJoy outlining my concerns and asking for immediate action on the most serious issues. I'll continue to advocate for my community until this is resolved.

A FEW PHOTOS FROM THE BART-B-QUE
On a lighter note, I wanted to share a few photos from our annual Bart-B-Que, named in honor of my husband, Bart. If you were able to make it, I hope you had a blast!
Thank you for being a part of my team and making all of my work possible. As we head into November, I'll be sure to keep you updated and to continue advocating for you at every opportunity.
There's work to be done,
Chrissy
