Hello Democrats,

We hope you and your family weathered the hurricane safely. Unfortunately, we have received word that our office is current without power and are working to plan what next week will look like for our office volunteers and events. We are still hosting tomorrow's canvassing event and look forward to seeing you there.

Early voting poll watchers, your schedule has been emailed. Please check your emails ASAP to confirm. Anyone wishing to be a poll watcher on Election Day can volunteer HERE.

Just last week, Congress passed a government funding bill without critically needed supplemental disaster relief funding. Instead of doing his job and fighting for disaster funds he knew Florida would need, Rick Scott skipped town and didn’t vote to replenish FEMA’s disaster fund.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to spread a wave of misinformation about FEMA and the federal government’s response to hurricanes. To respond to misinformation, know the facts and only share official information from trusted sources. Find the facts here.

This November, we vote to replace Senator Rick Scott and keep Donald Trump far from ever reentering the White House. As Election Day approaches, we need your help to reach every voter across Indian River County. We have 25 days!

Join us as we canvas, call, and caravan! Help us make sure every Democrat has a plan to vote and is empowered with the information they need to elect proud Democrats down the entire ticket. We also welcome donations to support our initiatives.

If you have received your mail-in-ballot, please return your ballot ASAP. Voting as early as possible helps our Democratic candidates narrow their focus and enables them to conduct more effective outreach to voters.

TWO Events Sunday October 20th

Save the date because we have two exciting events lined up for you on Sunday, October 20!

CARAVAN RSVP HERE

First, join us for an exciting day of unity and fun as we go cruising for Democrats during our caravan event for Indian County Democrats!

We’ll kick off our journey by staging at a local park to bring together supporters from across Indian River County. Wave your flags, honk your horns, and show your Democratic spirit as we caravan together, making our voices heard!

Our caravan will end in Vero Beach where the Democrats of Indian River have planned a special volunteer appreciation event complete with food and beverages. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow Democrats, share your passion, and rally for the upcoming elections!

Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of something big—let’s show our strength in numbers and make some noise for our candidates.

Be there, be loud, and let’s make history together. 🇺🇸 🌊

VOLUNTEER EVENT RSVP HERE

Then, it's time to celebrate YOU! The Indian River County Democrats and Democratic Club of Indian River would like to invite our dedicated volunteers to a special appreciation event. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and gratitude!

We’ll have a delicious Taco Bar, refreshing beer, sangria (feel free to BYOB if you'd like), lemonade, and desserts to enjoy. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers, reflect on all the hard work we’ve done and plan our path forward as we approach Election Day—it will be only 15 days away!

Please RSVP so we can ensure there is enough food for everyone.

We appreciate all your efforts, and together, we are making a difference. Let’s celebrate our commitment to winning and making our voices heard!

Candidate Recommendations

We have added candidate and amendment information as well as sample ballots and election FAQ's to our website. Locate your sample ballot HERE.

2024 Ballot Measures - No on 1

Vote NO on Amendment 1

Amendment 1 wasn’t proposed by teachers or parents who are committed to our students: it was proposed by anti-public education politicians in Tallahassee who want to make our school boards unnecessarily partisan.

These are the same politicians who have also allowed Florida’s average pay to fall to #50 in the nation; the same politicians who have done nothing to address the housing affordability crisis; the same politicians who have attacked your right to join your union; the same politicians who have taken away your freedom to teach and sucked the joy out of education. Amendment 1 is just another example of these politicians caring more about politics than about people.

Here’s why we need to join together to VOTE NO on 1:

  • Students should be our number one focus
  • Education isn’t partisan
  • Voters deserve a voice in their communities
  • Voters deserve to keep their rights

STOP Project 2025
Trump's Project 2025 is not just some list of far-right ideas and extreme policies. Project 2025 is already here shaping legislation being considered by THIS Congress.

Trump’s Project 2025 proposes cutting taxes for the wealthy and eliminating programs targeting tax cheats. It would hurt the middle class, harm hardworking people, and weaken the economy.
