Rolling Stone: These Swing State Election Officials Are Pro-Trump Election Deniers5 [[link removed]]
It's about power, John. It always is.
Rolling Stone has found that nearly 70 MAGA conspiracists are election officials in key battleground counties — and they are poised to make a giant mess on Election Day.
They're not just in one or two states, either. We're talking about key swing states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. They total 84 electoral votes combined.
Instead of working on a strategy to win over voters, the vote suppressors are doubling down on the "big lie" about our elections. Opponents of voting rights nationwide have decided that delaying certification provides them an opportunity to hear false fraud allegations — and refuse to officially count their local votes. These types of officials have refused to certify valid election results at least 25 times since 2020.
We must defend our elections against this kind of assault from within. Help us restore faith in our democracy with $25 or whatever you can today to educate voters about how our elections actually work >> [[link removed]]

Straight from the Rolling Stone report:
" While refusals and delays of certification have not held up in court, in Georgia and Arizona, pro-Trump local election officials are seeking to make certification discretionary — lawsuits that are currently being decided by state judges — in order to give his campaign another method to challenge election results in November. "
None of these officials are hiding their views, either. " Many of the election deniers discovered in this investigation share their zeal for Trump on social media platforms like Facebook, where they frequently express their belief in election lies amid screeds on the broader right-wing ecosystem of conspiracies ."
They're saying the quiet part out loud, John. Either these opponents of voting rights win or they think it's all rigged. And if they succeed, our democracy will be no more.
Fuel our efforts to fight these partisan lies and restore faith in our elections with $25 that will educate voters and make sure the correct results aren't delayed >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
