John,

As early voting has already started in Arizona, a voting plan for you, your family, and your friends is of paramount importance. If you have a mail-in ballot, fill it out as soon as you receive it and send it back; that will stop all of the door knocks and phone calls you’ve been experiencing! If you are going to vote early, locate your polling place and vote as early as you can. With your family and friends, it’s ‘rinse and repeat’! If you need help with any of our endorsed candidates, you can check our AZ AFL-CIO website for that list.

The AZ AFL-CIO Labor 2024 member-to-member campaign is in full swing, and we have opportunities to get involved, to contribute, to join other volunteers, Union Members, Union Leaders, Community partners who are working every day to Get Out The Vote and talking to our Members about voting for all of our endorsed, Worker friendly candidates! Including Kamala Harris for President, Ruben Gallego for Senate, Yes On 139, and our Congressional and Legislative candidates as well!

In our efforts to talk to as many of our Union Members as we possibly can, we have partnered with the Nal-Nishii Federation of Labor and President Ervin Jackson, who is Áshįįhí (Salt People) born for the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), to host a National Indigenous Union Member to Indigenous Union Member phone bank on Monday, November 14th.

The Nal-NiSHii Federation of Labor is the only AFL-CIO federated body in the country representing indigenous working families in the Navajo Nation region, including miners, power plant workers, and construction workers. The federation advocates for worker training programs and improved job opportunities in the tribal community.

In a recent statement, President Jackson said, "Throughout their careers and on the campaign trail, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz have demonstrated a deep respect for Indigenous peoples, championing our rights, our sovereignty, and our cultural heritage. Trump’s presidency brought land loss, worsened health disparities, and challenges to our sovereignty. Another term under Trump would be devastating."

Our Indigenous Sisters and Brothers who reside on Tribal lands face many challenges in one of all of our most fundamental rights, the Right To Vote!  We must do everything within our power to make sure that every voter from every Tribal Nation gets to exercise their right!
