caring for a new child or an aging parent, everyone deserves paid time off
from work. And they should never worry that it will mean missing a
paycheck or losing their job.
Sarah knows that paid leave policies can make all the difference because
they did for her. While she was caring for her husband as he battled
cancer, she could devote the time she needed to be with him before he
passed because her employer was supportive and flexible. As Sarah says,
she was lucky.
But people across the country shouldn’t have to rely on luck in order to
give their loved ones the care they deserve.
