Domestic Violence Symposium
Team McDuffie Attends Domestic Violence Symposium Hosted by MPD

On Tuesday, October 8th, members of Team McDuffie attended a Domestic Violence Symposium hosted by MPD in partnership with federal law enforcement. The symposium, held at the Arboretum Recreation Center in Ward 5, aimed to raise awareness across all age groups—seniors to young people—by sharing critical information about domestic violence, including statistics, resources for support, and signs to watch for.

Domestic violence affects people across all socioeconomic levels, but individuals in lower-income households are at higher risk and often feel they have fewer options for escape. This underscores the need for continued awareness and education to ensure victims are aware of the resources available to them.
