In just a moment, we are going to ask you to make a donation to the Democratic National Committee. We don't expect you to contribute to every email we send, but hope you will to this one.

Please let us explain why:

We are less than one month out from Election Day and a matter of days from our most important FEC fundraising deadline of the campaign so far, and the truth is that we cannot afford to miss our fundraising goal.

With early voting underway and polls showing the race for the White House virtually deadlocked, we are focused on funding and expanding our voter outreach efforts across the country. This election will be decided by a handful of votes in a handful of states, so we need to stay competitive in multiple battleground states to maximize our chances of winning.

That work requires a massive amount of resources. And your donations -- in response to emails just like this one -- make up a very big part of our ability to do that work.

So, we need as many donations as we can get before it’s too late. The goals we have are not arbitrary -- they are what we need for Democrats to win this November.
