You should see the truck the Parliamentary Budget Officer just drove over the Trudeau government’s favourite talking point.

The Trudeau government keeps telling you that “families are going to be better off” with its carbon tax and rebates. Don’t you get it yet?

But there’s a problem: the PBO’s numbers say something very different.

The PBO’s new report shows the carbon tax costs average families up to $399 more than they get back in rebates.

And your carbon tax costs will continue to increase as Trudeau cranks up the tax.

The carbon tax will cost the average family up to $903 more than the rebates in 2030.

It gets worse.

A carbon tax makes your life more expensive, but it’s NOT an environmental solution.

“Canada’s own emissions are not large enough to materially impact climate change,” the PBO said.
