Spark Circle members are invited to join our exclusive IGNITE Book Club!
Dear John:
Here at IGNITE, we know that one action can have an incredibly powerful ripple effect. This is why we ask that you take a simple action on this International Day of the Girl, Friday, October 11th, and join our Spark Circle, our recurring giving community, with a $10 monthly gift.
Spark Circle members activate young people like Sriya Srinivasan, a student trustee at Solano Community College and Founder/President of SCC’s Reproductive Health Club. Through IGNITE Sriya unpacked the challenges that so many menstruators experience (herself included). She posted a petition on Change.org to add menstrual health to California schools’ curricula. A few months later, with over 750 signatures, AB 2229 entered the California legislature.
After attending IGNITE the Capitol 2023, Sriya partnered with IGNITE to champion AB 2229, the Know Your Period Act. Fast forward to September 27, 2024, when Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 2229 into California law. What began as a small action will now improve the health of all Californians by providing comprehensive menstrual health education in schools.
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY: Our Spark Circle members will have exclusive access to the new IGNITE Book Club! Join the Spark Circle now and receive thefirst three books for free:
International Day of the Girl is about recognizing the power that girls hold, and advancing their rights and opportunities globally. Supporting IGNITE is a perfect way to honor the girls in your life, by expanding their opportunities for leadership and decision-making.
Thank you for your consideration!
With gratitude,
