Monday, Anna Chlumsky, the Veep costar who played Selina Meyer's Chief of
Staff, emailed PCCC members with this cool offer:

presidential battleground states] by this Friday (Oct 11) at 11:59pm
Eastern, you'll be entered for a chance to win a personalized celebrity
audio message from me that you can use as your voicemail greeting or as a
birthday message for a Veep fan in your life. I'll also record a
personalized audio message for the three biggest donations on these
links."

EARLIER EMAIL FROM ANNA CHLUMSKY:
[ [link removed] ]On Veep, I played Amy Brookheimer, Vice President Selina Meyer’s Chief
of Staff.
On Veep, I played Amy Brookheimer, Vice President Selina Meyer’s Chief of
Staff.
My character was known for carrying her cell phone everywhere, and in a
moment, I’m going to offer to record your voicemail if you [ [link removed] ]donate to
the Harris-Walz campaign today or [ [link removed] ]donate to top Senate campaigns in
presidential battleground states.
But first, here’s why I’m so eager for Kamala Harris to win in 2024.
I remember watching Senator Harris question Brett Kavanaugh during his
Supreme Court confirmation hearings. She displayed such an impressive
combination of competence, passion, and strength that I said to myself –
out loud – "I want her to be my president!"
And here we are years later with the historic chance to elect a person of
such fortitude and integrity. We need a president who respects the
Constitution, obeys the law, represents us abroad with honor, and who has
fought her entire career to challenge powerful interests and help
families. I trust Kamala Harris will be that president. Donald Trump is
the exact opposite.
With just one month left, the neck-and-neck polls are too close for
comfort. It’s plausible we could have an Electoral College tie, which was
supposed to be fiction when it happened on Veep. This would let
Republicans in Congress pick the next president. (To quote our show’s
creator, Armando Iannucci, "Why do they have an equal amount of electoral
votes?!" Tell me about it.)
We need to pull out all the stops. Every day matters, every dollar
matters.
[ [link removed] ]Even if you’ve already donated to Kamala Harris, I’m asking you to
consider donating another $30 today to help her campaign get out the vote
in the final month. Donate about $1 per day here.
BONUS: If you donate by this Friday (Oct 11) at 11:59pm Eastern, you'll be
entered for a chance to win a personalized celebrity audio message from me
that you can use as your voicemail greeting or as a birthday message for a
Veep fan in your life. I'll also record a personalized audio message for
the three biggest donations on the above link. (If you have a favorite
line from Veep, I’ll consider it. No promises.)
We also must keep a Democratic U.S. Senate in order to restore abortion
rights and have a chance to pass laws making life easier for families. The
Senate also confirms the Supreme Court.
Key Senate races are taking place in the presidential battleground states
of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Nebraska (which
may deliver the deciding Electoral College vote to Kamala Harris, breaking
a tie).
[ [link removed] ]Please consider donating $30 to these Senate candidates in
presidential battleground states – so they can get out the vote for
themselves AND for Kamala Harris. Donate about $1 per day here.
If you donate on this Senate link by this Friday (Oct 11) at 11:59pm
Eastern, you'll be entered for a chance to win a personalized celebrity
audio message from me that you can use as your voicemail greeting or as a
birthday message for a Veep fan in your life. I'll also record a
personalized audio message for the three biggest donations on the above
link.
On the links above, please also donate to the PCCC as they help campaigns
up and down the ballot mobilize voters in 2024.
One final point, as a mother of two raised in a lower-middle-class Chicago
neighborhood by a single mom.
I know all too well how vital it is that we take care of all types of
families in this country. Kamala Harris knows this, too. She cast the
deciding vote on historic investments in the care economy. She announced
action to lower child care costs for more than 100,000 families. She
proposes a federal child tax credit, free school lunches for kids, paid
leave, and cracking down on corporations that price gouge families on
everything from groceries to rent to prescriptions to credit card fees.
I have confidence that in office, she won’t stop there if we [ [link removed] ]donate to
help her win and [ [link removed] ]boost key Senate candidates in presidential
battleground states.
Thank you for reading this email, and for being a bold progressive. Happy
Voting!
