Friend,
There are four different cases in front of the state Supreme Court that could have a major impact on the outcome of the presidency and control of the state legislature in Pennsylvania. 1
One lawsuit would make it so that even the smallest mistakes – like forgetting to date or sign your ballot – would disqualify your vote and prevent you from being able to fix it.
We need you and thousands of Pennsylvanians to come together to demand the legislature protects and codifies the freedom to vote in PA. These groups aren’t even pretending – their lawsuits are just meant to stop specific groups of voters from making their voices heard. Please sign our petition to the state legislature now and demand that every voter has their voice heard and their vote counted: [link removed]
Democrats have requested mail-in ballots over Republicans by a two-to-one margin. 2 It’s no wonder that the Republican National Committee is going to court to block counties from letting voters know that they’ve made a mistake on their ballot.
Some politicians want to silence the voices of Black, brown, young, and new Americans so they can hold onto their power. These are the same communities of color that are overburdened by pollution and feel the health impacts the worst.
We must come together to protect our freedom to vote so that we all have a say in the decisions that impact our families, from freedom to have a say in where new sources of pollution are located to our freedom to be able to afford our energy bills.
Raise your voice and make sure our state elected officials know: we demand a system where every voter can participate equitably in our democracy and where the people’s voices aren’t drowned out by big polluters’ money: [link removed]
