Hello Fellow Climate Activists,
Here is an important action to support and show up for on October 23rd. Over the past couple of years, 350 Chicago has led Actions or co-led actions in Chicago to #StopLine5 pipeline. If the Line 5 oil and gas pipeline were to fail, especially in the straits of Mackinac, the oil spill would threaten the drinking water of millions of American and Canadian citizens. The Army Corps of Engineers and Enbridge are proposing a rebuild and reroute of the Line 5 pipeline that will endanger the natural resources of the Bad River Band of the Chippewa nation in Wisconsin.
I will be attending both events and would love for 350 Chicago Volunteers to attend and show support for our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
At the bottom of the email is a way to donate to help provide travel support to Indigenous leaders for their trip to Chicago.
Larry Coble
President, 350 Chicago
Here are the details:
Join us in Chicago to Shut Down Line 5
and Protect the Great Lakes
Line 5 is Enbridge’s dangerous oil pipeline that imminently threatens Lake Michigan and the Bad River Tribe’s land.

On October 23rd, water protectors and land defenders from nearby territories will converge in Chicago for two powerful events to share information on how our struggles are connected, build relationships and mobilize to shut down the Line 5 oil pipeline.
