Hey, friend — I have some good and not-so-good news to share.
Thanks to this grassroots team, we've been running ads across Florida in English and Spanish for a month now — and based on the numbers shared in our team meeting this morning, they are working.
The first week they aired, I shot up 3 points in the polls. Now, I'm LESS THAN 1 POINT AWAY from taking Rick Scott's dwindling lead altogether.
But actually clinching the lead means not only keeping my ads on the air but also launching new ones — and based on the metrics shown in that same meeting, our fundraising numbers just hit a 30-day low:
Without your help to close the 52% gap on my $500,000 daily goal and keep funding my ads, we risk losing all the momentum we've gained so far. Will you please give $5 now to keep me on track to flip Florida blue?
With less than four weeks until voters head to the ballot box — amid reports that Rick Scott just spent another $10.5 MILLION to further blanket the airwaves with his own ads — this slowdown couldn't have come at a worse time:
- If grassroots donations stay on a downward trend, I won't have the funds to keep the ads we're already airing on TV, let alone launch more (and trust me, you’ll want to see our next one).
- If I can't afford to keep my ads in front of Florida voters, my filthy-rich opponent will easily buy up all the slots we'd be leaving on the table.
- If Scott drowns out our message with ads smearing me in this last leg of the race, there's no chance we'll make a comeback in time for Election Day.
That is, friend, unless I can count on your help to stop the bleeding and meet every $500,000 daily goal from here on out, starting now.
I never would've entered striking distance of Rick Scott without your help, and I won't be able to overtake him in these final weeks without you again before the 11:59 p.m. deadline. Please, friend, will you rush $5, $25, or anything you can spare now to keep me competitive in the race to retire Rick and flip this Senate seat blue?

Thank you for everything,
