The U.S. Senate race that has been overlooked for months is now
drawing everyone's attention.
Conservative businessman Eric Hovde is poised to defeat ultra-liberal
incumbent Senator Tammy Baldwin. Hovde was down by 7 points most of
the summer but has surged and now only trails by 2 points.
The left-leaning Cook Political Report was forced to move the race
from "Lean D" to "Toss-Up" after their own survey showed Hovde's
surge.
_"While Baldwin is still leading independents by eight points,
50%-42%, we have seen an 11-point swing among the bloc toward Hovde
since August,"_ Cook reported.

lowest media rates, and a greater percentage of the Democrats' ads in
Wisconsin were bought by Tammy Baldwin's campaign (not outside super
PACs), allowing her to buy more spots at cheaper rates.
