No person in the U.S. has ever been executed under the “shaken baby syndrome” hypothesis, John. It’s a theory that was never scientifically validated and the premises of which have been discredited by actual science.
So it begs the question: Why is Robert, an innocent father wrongfully convicted based on the debunked “shaken baby syndrome” hypothesis, being sentenced to death for a crime that never happened?
Unless Gov. Abbott intervenes, Robert will be executed on Oct. 17. That is despite the new medical and scientific evidence that proves his innocence, despite bipartisan Texas lawmakers’ efforts to halt the execution, and even despite the claims from the doctor who helped introduce the hypothesis saying the science is faulty.

With only six days until his execution, we need to urge Gov. Abbott to grant Robert clemency and stop Texas from killing an innocent father.
