Social Work Degree Now Available
OPEIU is excited to announce a new degree in social work is now available through your OPEIU Free
College Benefit. This degree is available for the Summer classes beginning June 1.
With the social work program at Eastern Gateway Community College, students will establish the fundamentals they need to work as a registered social worker assistant, or to use it as a stepping stone to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor’s degree in social work.
Through the OPEIU Free College benefit, OPEIU members in good
standing and their families can earn an associate degree completely free
of charge. Every member and
their children, stepchildren, grandchildren, spouses, domestic partners, financial dependents, parents, siblings,
sons- and daughters-in-law
and nieces and nephews can earn a
two-year online degree and certificates with absolutely no out-of-pocket
costs for tuition, fees or e-books.
Associate degree programs are available in general studies, health
care, business management, criminal justice, paralegal, early
childhood education and social work.
