Friend --
Dear Friend--
Essential workers have been
working tirelessly to keep America going during the COVID-19
pandemic. One in three jobs held by women has been designated
essential and women of color are most likely the workers on the
frontline.
Black women are demonstrating how
we lead from home health aid workers and nurses to cashiers and social
workers. These women are working tirelessly and are oftentimes
underpaid and under resourced.

Yesterday, First Lady Michelle
Obama released her new documentary on Netlfix, “Becoming”, in which
she reminds us about the shared experience we all have as Black women.
“We can't afford to wait for
the world to be equal to start feeling seen,' she says after being
asked how she persevered as a black woman. “I feel like I got to share
with you all that the energy that's out there is much better than what
we see.”

We are extremely grateful for these
Black women and recognize their bravery, sacrifice and
perseverance.
We want Black women who are leading
in their communities to know that we see you and stand with you as you
continue to lead, serve and move this country to higher heights during
this global health pandemic.
Won’t
you join us today and add your name to our thank #BlackWomenLead roll
call?
Onward,
Glynda
