Friend, hear me out:
🙄 Yesterday, anti-immigrant forces took to the Fifth Circuit Court to try to bring down DACA, again, and with it, our sense of safety and stability. Despite years of calculated attacks against our community, DACA has existed for over a decade because of our collective power and organizing! We have proven that when we fight, we win against every attack that tries to erase us.
That’s exactly what we did yesterday as anti-immigrant officials presented their oral arguments against DACA before the court! We took to the streets of New Orleans, called the phone lines of the leading Attorneys General in the lawsuit, and posted on social media to tell our stories like only we can.
Friend, as we await an important decision on the future of DACA, we’ll need to continue caring for one another in impactful ways like yesterday’s action! 👉 Our “DACA at the Courts” Community Call is coming up on Tuesday, October 15, at 7 pm ET/ 6 pm CT, and I want you to be there for a breakdown of the latest DACA updates and ways we can take action to defend our community. Are you signed up yet?

Immigrant youth gathered outside the headquarters of the Fifth Circuit Court to declare that we belong here! Our home is here! Check out our recap on Instagram today, and be sure to share it with your community of followers.
Anytime now, the Fifth Circuit Court could release its ruling on the future of the program. Clearly, we know what’s at stake. For hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients like me, DACA has been the lifeline to living, working, and caring for our families in the place we call home. Without it, we’d be torn away from our communities and the life we’ve built here.
But that doesn’t mean that we’ll allow any politician or court to silence us and make us feel unwelcome in our own homes! We’ve organized for decades to bring us to this point, and we’ll keep fighting until everyone can live in safety and stability in their home.
Our opportunity to build that future together is NOW. ✊ Sign up for our community call to learn about ways we can prepare for whatever decision comes next.
In solidarity!
