To be more precise, what they actually hate is being accountable to the truth. In Trump's MAGA fantasy world, truth is whatever he says it is.

During the Vice Presidential debate, for example, after JD Vance tripled down on his toxic lies about Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, he was rightfully slapped down by the moderators in real time.

“Margaret, the rules were that you weren’t going to fact check,” he said. 

And what Trump commands, Lauren Boebert will always oblige: that's why Boebert can't even do one simple interview without constantly whining about bias and "partisan" questions about things like climate change.
